We already have fast chargers that allow you to charge smartphone batteries at an unprecedented speed, but manufacturers are still striving to improve another charging technology. Of course, we are talking about wireless charging, which will not require putting the phone on a special station, which makes this process similar to classic charging, but without cables. And it looks like Xiaomi has succeeded, although, as always with such innovations, we have no guarantees that the presented prototypes will turn into consumer products.

And we're talking about Mi Air Charge, which allows you to remotely charge devices without using cables or wireless charging stands, because it consists in searching for a device in space and sending energy to it. This Hidden Links possible thanks to the isolated charging stack developed by Xiaomi, which has built-in five-phase interference antennas that can accurately detect the location of the charging devices. At the moment, this allows 5W remote charging for a single device within a radius of several meters, but we are not limited to one device and you can charge several devices at the same time.

As the manufacturer assures, physical obstacles do not affect or reduce the charging efficiency, which is very important for use in a home that is not empty. This is the first step for Xiaomi towards fully wireless salons, because the manufacturer wants the technology to be able to work with smart watches, bands and wearable devices in the near future. The next step will be the production of speakers, desk lamps and other devices for a smart home, thanks to which we will significantly reduce cables, gaining new possibilities for arranging space. Unfortunately, the manufacturer does not give any specific date here, but we hope that we will not wait too long, because the technology promises to be extremely interesting.
